Within this piece, I have taken an image from a friend's home. Using interior architecture as the beginning frame, I build frame upon frame of images. Using this drawing as a cognitive mapping process, like a mind map of associative metaphor, I obsessively layer the original image with these associations.

 

The use of interior design and architecture become an environmental framework that is used to support these illustrated microcosmic windows into another realm or perhaps alludes to one that is extremely familiar and memory based.
